Detecting ACFR Deficiencies With DataSnipper
July 9, 2025 at 1:00 PM ET
Preparing and reviewing the Annual Comprehensive Financial Reports (ACFRs) requires both technical accuracy and efficiency, especially when addressing common deficiencies such as inconsistent disclosures, incomplete supporting documentation, and classification errors. This session explores how preparers can proactively avoid these pitfalls while leveraging DataSnipper to enhance audit quality, identify reporting gaps, and streamline documentation in alignment with the ACFR framework.
The session will highlight common risk areas, share lessons learned from past deficiencies, and present best practices to avoid common pitfalls in financial reporting. Using governmental audit examples, participants will learn to apply DataSnipper’s core functionalities, Sum Snip and Table Snip, directly to ACFR testing, and applying the Financial Statement Suite to tick and tie the ACFR for mathematical accuracy and consistency. In addition, participants will explore a practical use case for DataSnipper’s DocuMine functionality to efficiently review disclosures and reduce the risk of incomplete financial reporting.
