Refund Policy:

The refund policy for custom training events (Group Live and Group Internet Based) is outlined in the duly executed engagement letter between CLS and our client. Generally, cancellations and requests for refunds must be communicated in writing to operations@galassolearningsolutions.com 21 or more business days in advance of the event to avoid incurring speaking fees. Any non-refundable travel expenses will be billed at the time of cancellation. If the course is canceled within 21 business days of the scheduled date, the client will be responsible for payment in full. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, reasonable efforts will be made to reschedule.

All sales are final for Group Internet Based webinars offered via the gls.advancecpe.com platform. Refunds will not be issued if attendees fail to attend or do not complete the required attendance checks necessary to earn CPE credits. However, a registered attendee may cancel their enrollment before the start of a training event and those unused credits can be applied to any future GLS training event hosted on the platform.

All sales are final for QAS Self Study programs offered via the gls.lcvista.com platform unless otherwise noted in a duly executed written agreement.  The expiration date of each Self Study program is noted in the LCvista platform. Programs will remain accessible for a period of at least three months after the documented last purchase date.

Events not sold through Galasso Learning Solutions LLC may have different refund policies.  All sales are final unless noted in the promotional materials of said event.

Program Cancellation Policy:
If Galasso Learning Solutions needs to cancel or reschedule, we will contact the client by email immediately and provide an opportunity to reschedule. Full refunds will be provided to registered course participants if the course is canceled or if participants are unable to attend the rescheduled event.

Complaint Resolution Policy:
Galasso Learning Solutions will make every effort to provide the best training courses possible. If a participant is not completely satisfied with the training course and wishes to file a complaint, please contact Frank Galasso at operations@galassolearningsolutions.com within 10 business days of the event.

Course Update Policy:
In accordance with Standard No. 4, course materials will contain the most recent publication, revision, or review date. Courses will be revised as soon as feasible following changes to relative codes, laws, rulings, decisions, interpretations, etc. All learning content will be developed by individuals having expertise in the subject matter. Courses in subjects that undergo frequent changes will be reviewed by a subject matter expert at least once a year. Other courses will be reviewed every 2 years.

Attendance Monitoring Procedures:

For Group Live events, instructors will inform class participants that attendance will be monitored per NASBA requirements to ensure the correct number of CPE credits are assigned to each participant. The instructor will require participants to sign in and out by recording the time they enter/leave at the start of the program, lunch break (if applicable), and the end of the program. The instructor or other designated support person will also oversee the maintenance of an “exception log” noting when an individual misses more than 10 minutes of the seminar. In instances where the class size is large, the instructor will solicit the assistance of an event coordinator to accurately monitor attendance. Galasso Learning Solutions will maintain electronic copies of sign-in sheets and exception logs for a period of not less than five years. Partial credit will be assessed in half-credit increments.

For Group Internet Based webinars, attendance and participation will be monitored electronically via the webinar platform’s built-in reporting tools. The name and email address of each training participant, as well as the time they entered the meeting and the time they left it, will be documented. Additionally, the electronic monitoring mechanism will employ at least three instances of interactivity (i.e. poll questions) completed by the participant per CPE credit. These mechanisms will be of sufficient frequency and lack predictability. The participants’ responses to such interactive elements will be recorded electronically by the webinar platform. Partial credit will be assessed in half-credit increments. All records will be maintained for a period of not less than five years.

Group Internet Based webinars offered via the gls.advancecpe.com platform feature four attendance checks every 50 minutes. Attendees must complete at least three such attendance checks during each 50-minute increment. Partial credit will be assessed in one-credit increments as noted in the table below. All records will be maintained for a period of not less than five years.

QAS Self Study programs offered via the gls.lcvista.com platform are completed individually without the assistance or interaction of a real-time instructor. GLS programs feature a series of mp4 videos. These videos must be played once in their entirety before video navigation is enabled (in other words, each video must be watched once before participants can move on to the next section of the program). The programs will elicit participant responses to test for understanding of the material. This includes three multiple choice review questions per CPE credit, with evaluative feedback for each incorrect response to explain why each response is wrong and reinforcement feedback for the correct response. Satisfactory completion of the course is confirmed after the program through a qualified assessment, which features five multiple-choice questions per CPE credit (no feedback is provided for final assessment questions). The assessment will test a learner’s understanding of the stated program learning objective, and a cumulative minimum passing grade of at least 70 percent is required to earn CPE credit for the course.  If a score of 70% or greater is not earned, a learner will be given the option to retake the final assessment until a passing score is achieved. Courses may feature half credits based on NASBA standards. The total number of CPE credits recommended for a program is calculated using one of two methods:

    1.  CPE credit is tied to the credit awarded during the program’s original Group Internet Based presentation (S8-02).
    2. Word Count Formula with Consideration of Audio and Video Segments (S17-07).

                      [actual audio/video duration time + (# of questions × 1.85)] /50 = CPE credit

Program Content and Knowledge Level:

In accordance with Standards No. 2 and No. 3, Galasso Learning Solutions will publish promotional material specific to each program instance, which will clearly articulate the program content and level so that participants can accurately assess whether the program is appropriate for their development needs. Program knowledge levels will consist of basic, intermediate, advanced, overview, and update. All programs identified as intermediate, advanced, or update will clearly identify prerequisite education, experience, and/or advanced preparation, if any. Similarly, for courses with the program knowledge of basic and overview, prerequisite education, experience, and/or advanced preparation will also be noted or specifically marked as “none” in course descriptive materials.

For custom training events (Group Live or Group Internet Based) purchased by a CPA firm or other entity, promotional material will be distributed to the event coordinator via email prior to the event.

For Group Internet Based webinars purchased through an online platform (gls.advancecpe.com and galassolearningsolutions.com) and QAS Self Study purchased through gls.lcvista.com, promotional material is prominently displayed in the online platform prior to course registration.

Content and Delivery Systems:
All learning programs will be developed by individuals having expertise in the subject matter. Expertise will be demonstrated through practical experience and/or education.

Content is Developed by a Subject Matter Expert:

All learning programs will be developed by individuals with expertise in the subject matter. Expertise will be demonstrated through practical experience and/or education. In accordance with Standard No. 5, at least one active licensed CPA in good standing will participate in the development of every program in accounting and auditing. At Galasso Learning Solutions, Melisa Galasso, CPA, will be engaged in the development or review of each program. Additionally, at least one active licensed CPA or IRS enrolled agent will participate in the development of every program in taxes.

In accordance with Standard No. 5, CPE programs will be reviewed by qualified persons other than those who developed them. These reviews will occur before the first presentation of these materials and again after each significant program revision. A technical review is part of each program’s electronic workflow and documentation will be maintained along with the reviewer’s professional biography for a period of not less than 5 years.

Content is Based on Relevant Learning Objectives:

All programs will contain relevant learning objectives and outcomes that clearly articulate the knowledge, skills, and abilities that can be achieved by the participants. These objectives will be clearly articulated in course specific promotional materials distributed prior to each instance of the program, thus allowing participants to accurately assess whether their specific development needs will be met.
